29 yo male patient with no history of arterial hypertension. Ultrasound detected a hypoechoic mass on the right side of the gallbladder and on the left side of the upper pole of the right kidney. MSCT 64 shows that both adrenal glands look normal. There is a retroperitoneal mass in the subhepatic region and behind of duodenum. Contrast medium procedure reveals an inhomogenous mass and no sign of expansion. In surgery, this mass was at the upper pole of the right kidney, close to the inferior vena cava. The arterial tension of this patient went up to 210/140mmHg when removing this mass. In this particular case, the chromaffin cell tumor is proven to be an extra-adrenal pheochromocytoma.
